As you probably all know Becton Dickinson has alerted NHS to a shortage of products from their Blood Specimen Collection Portfolio that is impacting across most main blood tube supplies, the supply position remains constrained.
We have been asked to cancel all of our blood clinics until the further notice from NHS.
However, if your booked appointment was urgent please contact your referring clinician. We have also referred all cancelled blood test back to the GP who raised the request to confirm whether it is urgent or not. If it is confirmed as urgent, we will contact you back to rebook. Otherwise, you can try to call us back to re-arrange your routine blood test appointment after 20th September, although there is NO guarantee when the supply disruption will be solved, and we don’t know yet the exact date our blood clinic could be resumed.
If your condition or symptoms change or get worse, please contact our Practice as you would normally.
