Aged 40-74? Book your NHS Health Check when invited to enjoy a healthier life for longer
Livewell, a healthy lifestyle service run by Derby City Council, offers free NHS Health Checks for people who are eligible in Derby including patients from our practice. The free check can lower your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes and certain types of dementia.
It’s a simple 30-minute appointment that checks things like your BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes risk. Following the tests, the friendly Livewell advisors will help you find ways to prevent health problems in the future.
Livewell offers checks at the Florence Nightingale Community Hospital on London Road and at the Derby City Council House on Corporation Street in the city centre.

The service also offers free 12-month supportive programmes to help children and adults to lose weight and stop smoking.
